Biology of Human Aging Colloquium to be held May 24, 2010

Brown University's 2010 Colloquium on Biology of Human Aging will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 in the Laboratories for Molecular Medicine, Room 107, 70 Ship Street, Providence RI.
The event will host four lecturers from an array of elite research institutions and will cover topics such as autophagy in aging and age-related disorders and the evolution of the aging brain trancriptome and cognitive decline.
The lectures include:
- Bruce A. Yanker, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Evolution of the Aging Brain Transcriptome and Cognitive Decline
- Arlan Richardson, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Is the Oxidative Stress Theory of Aging Dead?
- Ana Maria Cuervo, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, Autophagy in Aging and Age-related Disorders
- Heinrich Jasper, University of Rochester, New York, Extending Lifespan by Promoting Proliferative and Regenerative Homeostasis in Drosophila
