Bharat Ramratnam is the Warren Alpert Foundation Professor at Brown University.

Dr. Ramratnam completed undergraduate and medical education at Brown University. Following residency and chief residency at Brown, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, The Rockefeller University in the Clinical Scholars Program and is now the head of the Laboratory of Retrovirology, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Alpert Medical School. He serves as Chief Scientific Officer, Brown Innovation and Research Collaborative for Health (BIRCH) and Vice President of Research at Lifespan. He is also the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Medicine at Brown University as well as an Attending Physician at Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals.
