STAC Now Accepting Next Round of SBIR/STTR Phase I Matching Grant Applications

The Rhode Island Science & Technology Advisory Council (STAC) has grant funding available through the Innovate Rhode Island Small Business Fund (IRISBF), a new program launched in 2013 to assist eligible RI small businesses within the life sciences and engineering sectors.

Companies that have received a federal Phase I Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) grant from October 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013 may apply for a matching grant of up to $45,000.  Applications are due January 24, 2014.

STAC also has available grants of up to $3,000 to reimburse bioscience and engineering companies for internship stipends. Applications for these grants are accepted on a rolling basis.
