RI-INBRE Announces Funding for Career Development
Published on September 10, 2013
The RI-INBRE program is seeking proposals from established investigators at the University of Rhode and Brown who wish to serve as collaborators/mentors for faculty at one of the participating primarily undergraduate institutions (Bryant University, Providence College, Rhode Island College, Roger Williams University, and Salve Regina University).
An important component of the INBRE Program is to support research career development of faculty and students from the primarily undergraduate institutions (PUI). To promote this component, the RI-INBRE Program has initiated a Collaborative Proposal Development Program which will pair PUI faculty members with collaborators/mentors from URI and Brown University. In preparation for the next phase of RI-INBRE, which is anticipated to begin on May 1, 2014, scientifically meritorious research projects will be selected from the pre-proposals received in response to this solicitation. The scientific themes for the next five year period are: Molecular Toxicology, Neuroscience, and Cancer Research. Pre-proposals are due October 1, 2013.
