If you have an innovative solution for a problem in healthcare, education or sustainability, you could win $1 million dollars from Verizon. Through the Powerful Answers Award, Verizon is offering a total of $10 million dollars for the most innovative solutions in healthcare, education and sustainability.
Innovators and companies — who propose the most innovative solutions using Verizon’s unique combination of network, device and platform technologies to help reinvent and empower the areas of healthcare, education and sustainability — may qualify for a total of $10 million in prizes.
The awards in each of the three areas include:
- 1st place: $1 million
- 2nd place: $850,000
- 3rd place: $700,000
- 4th place: $500,000
- 5th place: $285,000
All concepts must be submitted to by June 30. Entrants selected to submit full proposals will have until August 15. The final phase of the contest will begin October 1, when the top 10 proposals in each core area will be asked to pitch their idea to a panel of judges. Verizon will announce winners at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 7 – 10, 2014.
