RI EPSCoR Partners with Slater Technology Fund to Launch Entrepreneurial Fellows Program

Published on December 11, 2008

Rhode Island EPSCoR is pleased to announce the EPSCoR Fellows Program ?? a new initiative designed to encourage entrepreneurship in the life sciences and biotechnology in Rhode Island. Applications are now available for the Spring 2009 program. Six fellowships will be awarded, each with a $3,000 stipend.

The objectives of the EPSCoR Fellows Program are two-fold: a) to actively engage students in entrepreneurship in life sciences and biotechnology; and b) to support the Slater Technology Fund in its mission to foster entrepreneurship in emerging industries within Rhode Island. As EPSCoR Fellows, students will have the opportunity to identify innovative research and entrepreneurial researchers within Rhode Island academic institutions, engage in the process of new venture development, and support Slater-backed ventures.

The application deadline is December 31, 2008.
