The Port of Providence, located at the head of Narragansett Bay, a natural deep water estuary with a federal shipping channel, is one of the busiest ports in America's northeast and has the distinction of being one of only two deep-water ports in New England. The addition of two high performance harbor cranes will enhance the port's ability to continue its existing bulk material operations while expanding its capabilities to accommodate container operations.
