Emerging Biomedical and Life Sciences Research in Rhode Island
Join NIH's National Center for Research Resources Director Barbara Alving who will share insight into new funding initiatives for investigators working collaboratively in the areas of biotechnology and medicine.
In addition to Dr. Alving, the day-long program at the Rhode Island Convention Center will include presentations by young Rhode Island investigators who will showcase "best practice" projects already underway and a Poster Session.
This special one-day forum is presented by the Rhode Island Research Alliance in cooperation with the COBRE, INBRE, CTSA and EPSCoR statewide network. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn from national research leaders and be inspired by what's possible when Rhode Island researchers work more closely together.
Collaborative, multi-disciplinary research is widely considered to be a successful route for advancing scientific knowledge and moving bench research into commercial application. At this forum, you will hear from from scientists who are already successfully taking advantage of Rhode Island's unique ecosystem to share tools, resources and expertise.
- Learn about national trends in research funding and why now more than ever before collaboration matters to federal funders and private foundations
- Explore funding streams and other resources that are necessary to move research forward from innovation to implementation
- Create your own collaborative connections
- Submit an abstract for the Poster Session and share your research results with hundreds of other RI researchers
